TOPIC: Is there a planned date for 2008 Tokens?

Jeff,<br />    Do you have a planned date for when the 2008 tokens will go on sale?  <br /><br />I know in the past it as been during my kids spring break.  Which means I am out of town, just another reason why I have to take a laptop when I go on vacation <sigh>.

If they somehow could be released before Christmas, that would probably do good things for increasing sales...though that may not be realistic.

We should have more info on that in about a week.  Perhaps we can start pre-orders after Thanksgiving, but they would not be in stock until 2008.<br /><br />What do you think?

<br /><br />That sounds reasonable.  Just make sure poor Lori gets a little break.  Two kids and tokens are a lot of work.  <br /><br />Heck, two kids is a lot of work. 

If taking pre-orders after Thanksgiving would help in any way, I say go for it.  If not, I'd just wait until sometime after the first of the year.<br /><br />Kim

In theory, we would pick up some of that Christmas money people spend on gamers.  Instead of getting a cheesy wizard figurine, you could get some tokens from Aunt Betty (after you send her the token link).

Actually, you can get some nice clothes at Kmart.  They have some pretty good clothing lines.<br /><br />Kim

Yes, I have read about Kmart in the other thread and I've refrained mentioning this until now, but my mother worked for Kmart for 28+ years until her store was converted to a Sears Essentials.  Kmart is not perfect but neither is any retailer.  Retail establishments should strive to serve their customers in the most professional possible.  Sometimes they screw up in that department and I'm not just talking Kmart.  I like Kmart and most of my experiences with them have been positive.  Just for the record, I live in different town than my mother, so it's not a case of me shopping at her store.  For mature women Kmart has the best clothing selection of the major 3 discount retailers.  I find here of late that I'm very cautious about what I post on the forums.  I've met a lot of really wonderful people through True Dungeon.  People that I look forward to seeing each year in Indy.  There have been many times when I've come home from work after a bad day to find something that someone has posted that makes me laugh and I'm grateful for that.  Having said that, I think the forums have taken on a mean spirited quality of late in some threads, so it's made me more cautious about what I post.<br /><br />Kim
