TOPIC: Token Collection/Trading System Now Up

The edit collection option should now be fixed -- I had a little debug line in there from the beta test that was screwing it up.

I added grouping by token type and then subsorting by token name in the view tokens, view collection and edit collection pages so it should be easier to find the token that you are looking for now.

Sorting by column is a little too much code for right now . Yeah, I'm lazy.

I'm not looking for atta-boys here but I was wondering if the collection app has been useful for tracking collections and trading tokens?

I have an idea in the back of my head that this type of system could be useful for tracking/trading any type of sets of collectibles, with users being the ones that create and maintain the sets (eg, baseball cards, Magic cards, other 'closed' sets of items). If such a site/service existed one of the token trading faithful here could have uploaded the names of all the tokens and then put the url here in the forums. The site/service would also host forums and PM threads for buy/trade negiotations that would be more tightly integrated and searchable than the current system.

Anyone seen a system like that elsewhere on the 'net?

BTW, I'll be updating the token names tonight based on DirtDazzy's excellent work.

I think it is quite handy for tracking tokens. The "Buy/Sell Matches" page is particularly handy. Now the trick is simply getting more token-traders involved in the app. The more people active the merrier.

Perhaps TD can promote it at the event. Nothing elaborate mind you, but maybe a sign or flyer where the token bags are sold.

I have used the matching system to make one trade so far. If I had more tokens for trade, which alas I do not, it would be wonderful thing to be able to use.

The system has been invaluable. Quite frankly, it was a monumental pain in the ass before to figure out what people had, were willing to trade, and were looking for in return. This basically lets you cut right to the chase. Spiffy.

The Token App does a good job at matching. Thank you for it. My only request at this point would be to further narrow the search for the matches by person. For Example, I know that Gary wants my Wondrous Item X. It would be nice to click somewhere and seen all the items I have that Gary wants and all the Items Gary has that I want. Sort of a filter on one person. Currently, it is a little cumbersome to search through the list and pull out specifics by person. I imagine once this starts growing it will even become more difficult.

My thoughts on the subject anyway.

This has now been implemented. In the Buy/Sell Matches page there is now a link for "View Matches" for each user. If you click on this link the page is narrowed to the buy/sell matches for that user.
