TOPIC: Falling purple prices on E-bay And Value of GP

Falling purple prices on E-bay And Value of GP 16 years 7 months ago #1

It is interesting to follow the price of Girdles (including shipping).

Sept - 22 $207.00
Sept - 27 $110.50
Sept - 28 $105.50

The current high bid on a open auction is $76.00. If they start getting down to $50, I may start buying.

A second issue. I was trying to figure out what Gold is selling for on E-bay. There are only 3 auctions I could find where gold was the issue but it seemed the price was sticking near $0.05 per GP.

Yea, the 1520 gp auction is just over .05 a gold piece right now, but it still has just under 9 hours to go. Give the snipers their due. ;)

Well, there has been what, 6 girdles or something? I think after the first two sold so high people just dumped theirs. Other purps wouldn't do so poorly I think.

No, no, I'm pretty sure the market is crashing. I heard that the +2 Flaming short bow, the gloves of dex, and, uh (*checks wishlist*) the mithral chain are only worth about $20 each now. I'll happily go over market and offer anyone $25 for any of those.

=D

Stu, thanks for the info. I'll update the Price Guide! ;)

Stu -- were these actual transactions? If so, sign me up--let me know who was selling for these prices, please.

David

David, going out on a limb here, I am fairly certain Stu was joking. ;)

Stu, I don't think things will go that low (I will start buying if purples get near $50.).

I expect most purple to stablize in $50-$100 area.

However I still want to see "Denise" take a beating. "True Dungeon in Europe" indeed. She has an auction where she is trying to sell 10 BORING commons with a mininum bid of $10.00.

Did she ever remove the part about TD being in Europe from her auction listings?

Kim

Yeah, I was just joking, I have not acquired any UR for so little. While I wouldn't mind doing so... as George alluded, there would be a line in front of me offering more.

Actually, it is 11 commons to be fair. And the buy-it-now price is $38.65. But for that low low price you can get:

small steel mirror
reinforced leather
hand axe x3
studded leather x2
dagger
small shield
short sword
quarter staff
