TOPIC: Gold/ Gem Tokens

<br />Well, the power monger I am, I think my primary interest in gold is to use it to acquire URs ( at least until I'm outfitted with the gear I'm looking for, then I can turn to more roleplaying pursuits  =D ), so since URs are not what are generally won at TD auctions, anyone more interested in gold than URs please look me up  =D<br /><br />I'm looking for a few URs, but #1 on my hitlist (assuming the mace of disruption isn't given a buff) is Gearons heavy mace +2. Any citizens with information leading to this acquisition of this weapon should contact the Turnip as soon as possible.<br /><br /><br />

<br /><br />Interesting proposal - actual GP for a UR.  I have a Ring of Focus.... perhaps even a HoP for 10k or more   (I don't think I'd trade either for GP - they work better as fodder for other URs).

Kind of like at GenCon when I offered someone 5K gold for a Ring of Focus and was turned down.  <br />(We did work out a Purple for Purple trade)<br /><br />There are not that many people interested in getting gold.    And most of those people don't have spare purples.   <br /><br />So far the only purple for non-purple trades that I have seen have seen this year on the forums were for a complete set of ingrediants and for a pile of reds.   

Yeah...speaking of that pile of reds....I wonder if we're going to have a token exchange program in 2008....

LOL People make no sense. I could get $300 for the gold I have a buy 3 ROF on ebay (or buy a 30 pack from Jeff for 1+ purps with $50 left over) yet people wouldn't trade a single purp of mediocre value for an amount of gold they could do the same with.

I've sold URs for GP before.<br /><br />Sold a Girdle of Hill Giant Str for 3000gp. (Actually, that deal was revised to 1500gp and 1500 worth of nice tokens for the Rogues' Game)<br /><br />Sold a Gem (Diamond? Emerald??) for 100gp more than was printed on the token.<br /><br />When I got a second 1000gp Sapphire Necklace, I traded it for 1000gp (in Ruby Rings).<br /><br />I've also got a +2 Longsword I would consider trading for 2500gp, if anyone's interested.

<br /><br />Most people are not aware they can sell Gold on Ebay (or assumed that people would have come to their senses and stopped bidding so much for Gold).

If anyone has a Ioun Stone: Lavender Ellipsoid they want to sell for gold/gems, I will pay 50% over the list price.

i would be willing to part with some gold/gems. if anyone would care to make me an offer on one lump some of roughly 40k.
