TOPIC: Trade Ingredient Tokens?

Re: Trade Ingredient Tokens? 16 years 7 months ago #13

The idea is to have one where you will need:

2006 (3) - Ghoul Tongue, Dryder Silk & Spider Fang
2007 (3) - Ectoplasm, Quicksilver & Slime

Be careful what you ask for. I got T's for Mrs Widseth and I and Smackdown said I have some small teeshirts for kids, so I got 2 for two grandkids. Last weekend I went over for a birthday party at their house, and I wasn't even out of the car when one of my grandsons ran up and asked if I had brought my tokens. He was crushed when I told him no.

Being a tokenholic is a heavy burden, but someone has to do it.

Widseth
So, any update on this? I've already ran out of place to store my current tokens, what am I going to do with the new ones next year?

Re-reading this, it sounds a lot like Roarry is asking about the idea of trading in 20 daggers for a "metal ore" token, or something like that. Not Actually asking about 'Ingredient' tokens, but "trade ingredients", so you can trade in lots of commons and get 'ingredients' which take up a lot less space.

I wonder if there might be a better name for those hypothetical tokens.... like "Trade goods" or "Material tokens" instead of "Ingredients", just so people don't get confused.

Yea, we need to fix the naming convertion on these. Perhaps if we had an example of exactly what the token trading is going to do, we might get a better generic name for this class of token. "ore", "bullion"

I like Arsenal tokens...

Trade in 50 daggers for a Dagger Arsenal token.

The original idea was for an "ingredient" for future combos, it could be raw ore, refined metal, crystal, mineral, herbs, etc. So I started calling them Trade Ingredients, you know, ingredients you “traded” for instead of found in the dungeon. Bouillon was supposed to be what the Reserve tokens were, but Jeff did not like the name, so they are just “Bars”.

I really do not care what we call them, though.

Gary,
Explain your “arsenal” token?

Ah, that makes sense, then.

What about calling them "trade goods"?

Like: Metal Trade Goods (for turning in bladed weapons), Wooden trade goods (for staves), Fibre trade goods (rope, etc.)

Good suggestion, I have no objections to that...
