TOPIC: How Much Gold Do You Have?

<br />Between my purchase and a few other transactions I've gotten myself up to a bit over 2k.<br /><br />I guess I'm correct that unless I put together alot more coin I haven't a prayer at winning an auction?  =|<br /><br />...and here I was all proud of my meager nest egg. <br />

<br /><br />Not a chance in hell of winning anything anyone else wants anyway. Frankly, anything short of 10k means you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of picking up a highly desired item. With 2k, you can pick up bunches of things. It's just things that aren't as sought after in general.<br />

<br /><br />URs in the price guide are listed as being worth 1k-4k, technically putting me either at or within arms reach of many of them...but realistically I suppose they actually sell for a great deal more eh... <br />

<br /><br />2k in GPs would sell for around $80 on eBay.  This would put you in arms reach of the URs that sold for between $60 and $120 on eBay.

Well, I figure if I just liquidate my 401k and maybe cash in a few bonds to buy tokens I should be ready to compete by next August! 

Hey.  I only have about 2500gp, and I won what I think is one of the coolest pieces that was available at the auction.    So don't despair!

I don't think I have any gold at all right, except for my gem collection.  =)  Traded it all to George for some things I needed.  On the bright side, my collection of needs is just about complete now.

<br /><br />I got the scroll tube that was used for the picture on the Bone Scroll Case token.  The real coolness of it though, is from what Jeff said about it - it's the prop that convinced everyone that they needed to do True Dungeon.<br />This baby is going on my trophy shelf at home as soon as I get the display case for it.  =D

<br /><br />With Smak's collection it might be easier to weigh the tokens then count them.  Kind of like my kids with tickets at the local arcade.
