Canada has one and two dollar coins.  The twoonies are the 2-dollar coins, and the one-dollar coins have a loon on them - hence, loonies.<br />

<br /><br />Ah, a collectible!<br /><br />I have a couple 2 dollar bills. The old style ('old' meaning the one I remember from my youth) and the updated style which was used until they went out of print.<br /><br />I also have a 50-cent piece, which is pretty rare to find in circulation. <br />

Since this thread is completely destroyed--when I was a youth, living in Germany, I made what I considered an incredible find.  I looked down and found a 1 phennig piece in the grass--no big deal until I looked at it closer--it had a swastika on it.  And no, I was not there during the war.  I've hung on to that for years in my coin collection along with a silver 10 cent piece from the United States Phillipines from when the Phillipines was a part of the US.  I have lots of coins from all over the world--not really a hobby--just an obsession.<br /><br />Obsession???  Obsession???  Where are those tokens?  I know there is a tinderbox somewhere in this mess.  Who took my tinderbox?  I had 22 now one is missing.<br /><br /><br /><br />Widseth

That lady was selling one for just over 20 bucks to most people!! <br /><br />She will help you replace it I am sure!
