TOPIC: What have the SPECIAL"?" tokens done in the past...?

I already know a few people making early runs who are going to pop theirs no matter what. I figure I'll make my decision based upon their report back of what it does. One nice part is that if I don't think the effect this year is worthwhile, there's always next and next and next until one is too spiffy to pass up. All it takes is finding someone each year who is going to use theirs no matter what, and there are more than enough completionists in this group that shouldn't be too hard.

<br /><br />Herm. I had forgotten that part, though the push to pick one as the UR of choice sort of leads one in that direction. Since there aren't that many Specials out there and even fewer will be popped, I'm hoping that it will really be something interesting. A super-duper prop might be kinda cool. I'm still very enamored with my dungeon idea of the prop of whozitwhatsit overarching between two years or more. In the first year, the quest is to find whatever the heck it is. In the second year, you're actually given the prop (cudgel of st. cuthbert, hand of vectra, whatever) to carry through the dungeon and it ties into the dungeon itself until you use it at the end to help defeat the ultimate bad guy. It's a classic RPG setup and I think it would be cool as hell.<br /><br />How about the special gives you a scroll. Whenever you choose to read it, a bluehand dressed up like a leperachaun comes in with a pot of those old woodie gold tokens that Jeff has secreted away somewhere and skips around the room throwing up a few handfuls into the air before disappearing in a puff of smoke.
