Wow. I'm amazed that 1000GP is going for well over $70 on ebay. 500GP is going for over $35.

For $70 per 1,000 GP, I'm tempted to sell 4000GP so I can buy another $250-pack of tokens.

Seriously, if anyone wants to drop $280 on 4000GP worth of tokens, please PM me and we can work something out. I might even thrown in an additional 500-1000GP.

Yeah, the GP dollar value is very interesting and unexpected. The guide prices say 34.38 gp per dollar, but if that auction closes at $75 for 1000gp, that's more like 13.33 gp per dollar (better than some countries' real-world currency). So, instead of the projected value of 3 cents per gp, eBay puts it closer to 7.5 cents per gp.
Its actually really good for the token economy. Makes it so that there is some base to go from when selling or trading tokens.

I think I averaged between 40-50 GP per bag...so if spending $10 gets you 50GP...I don't see a problem spending $100 to get 1000GP.
Me niether!
I just recieved 4 bags (small purchase testing something) and in the 4 bags I recieved a 5 gp, a 10 gp, a 20 gp, a 20 gp gem, a 10 gp gem, and a 100 GP gem for a total of 165 gp for 4 bags. that averages out to 41.25 gp per bag.

If anybody wants to pay $100 for 1000gp, PM me.

For the sake of a sanity check, my monetary auctions sold today for $44 per 1000gp in gems and $22.29 per 500 in coins. Those two numbers come in very close to each other, and also a little closer to the book value. Although, I am a bit baffled that the coins sold for even slightly more than the gems. I figured gems would have a slight edge from being also used as ingredients.
