<br /><br />okay, it could be Frenkle's Cowbell<br /><br />+4 to damage for all party melee attack while the Bard's plays.<br /><br />-3 to the AC of the Bard.

<br /><br />That's actually a pretty cool idea - things with a big benefit... and a big negative. It would help offset the issue of people getting so tanked up nothing can harm them, if each of the items with the biggest bonuses also came with a negative of some type. Massive damage but negative to AC, high AC but penalty to saves, etc.<br /><br />Very EVIL mind you (and I thought you were such a nice little pixie!), but a great idea :-P

Well look at the dwarven mead. Yeah it helps you but it also hinders you a bit.<br />I think this would be a good trend to follow.<br /><br />It helps keeps things in balance. For instance the things which may help your hit, lower your own ac. Or raises your To damage but lowers your saves. Things need to have bite to them to help keep balance.<br /><br />Like the talk of the higher bonus bard instrument, instead of putting the negative on the bard cause he's not going to be doing anything else put on the other adventurers. Perhaps they are in such a frenzy to kill the thing that they are swinging harder so they do more damage but less focused so there is a -1 or to -2 to hit, but the +3 or +4 to damage. So maybe they don't hit as often but when they do it has more force. For good sliders that may not be much of a worry. But for those that slide par to sub par they may want to focus on a different strategy for token equipping.<br /><br />I could see cursed boots, that because they keep you constantly moving they boost your saves, although the set back is that you always have to do melee(the boots run you right up to the monster) and you can't withdraw from battle(no shielding, no being shielded, no hiding in the corner with your elven cloak).<br /><br />I think it could be really fun to toy with tokens that have that two edge aspect to them.

Or at the end of the room when they knew nothing else was going to happen.  I get 5 hit points back with no penalty....awesome!!!!  And its uncommon at that, even better.

Maybe the "Drunk factor" needs to be marked on the player Card or HP tracker and last for one entire room...???<br /><br />That way it could impact the tail end of one room (no big deal) and then it would have to last the entire next room.<br />

We should rename the thread then to Treasure Token Discussions.  This isn't really about trading.
