Hmmm. I wonder if it'd be worthwhile to 'rent' out horns of plenty ot groups. If you could wrangle 7 of them and offer them to groups for use in the run in exchange for first pick of whatever they pull.

<br /><br />I think Jeff & Co. were pretty generous to put a token in like the Horn of Plenty, as it costs Jeff money to stock the dungeon treasure.  It doesn't seem fair to Jeff & TD (to me at least) to loan them out to groups like that, and I doubt they anticipated people would do that.  I figure I'll loan my extra horns out to my friends adventuring with me on a dungeon, but I'm not going to look to loan them to other groups that I'm not adventuring on.

I guess that's your perogative. As for me, I think I'd happily loan it out if I could be sure of getting it back. I believe some of the people I'm running with will be doing additional runs when I'm not around, and I have no probs working something out for them to borrow it.

Pretty sure Jeff or TD would say: "The tokens are ours to do with as we want."

Ya. The HoP's won't make that much of an impact in general no matter what since each horn could only be used once every two hours in the best of times. So each horn could churn out a maximum of around 40 or so additional draws per con. I think it does add to the liklihood of them not returning as UR's next year though.

I guess the trust factor plays into it also - you aren't going to loan several Horns of Plenty to complete strangers, hoping to get them back a couple of hours later.

Well, if you keep bumping it, I'll keep mentioning that I've got a Nightshade's +2 Short Sword I can trade for the Horn of Plenty  =D
