TOPIC: Is there a limit on Damage Resistance from consumables?

Is there a limit to how much Damage Resistance consumables can add to a base build?

I ask because I am calculating whether my Elf could handle a solo run, and he would need multiple Scrolls:Inertia Shield (3 Melee DR each) to survive some of the nastier melee foes -- especially those that do three attacks per round. They would be on top of a Conserved Ironskin spell (5 DR vs all non-Eldritch attacks).
