TOPIC: Does Anyone Want Specific Dragon Orbs Anymore?

Does Anyone Want Specific Dragon Orbs Anymore? 1 year 1 month ago #1

I have a bunch of dragon orbs that I haven't transmuted yet.

I see some listings for them in various places at high prices, but I'm not sure if that's because people demand them that much, or just inventory is low.

Anyway, I've got:

1x Dragonelle
3x Elder Serpent
3x Old
5x Ancient
7x Great Wyrm

And I'm curious if these are desirable anymore, and if so do the specific ones matter, or are people just trying to get any 5 together to make Elder Orbs.

I have watched this quite closely since they were opened for transmute. The movement on them has been very low and pricing has stayed about the same. Why, I’m not sure. Personally, I’d love to have one of each as I love dragons and just want one of each. That being said both do the same thing, I have the 8 orb I collected for 8 years, and at 500+ per orb ( some reaching over $1,000 ) it’s just not worth it. I’ve seen some Elder for Sale at $2,000 and those have sold much either from what i have seen over the last 6 months. I watch forums fromTrent, Kirk, Laz, Mike, Utatka, and prob 1/2 a dozen more shops here in TD forums Including eBay.

I think most people paid a fair amount and want to try and recoup what they paid for their Orb but not sure the demand is there anymore to justify the high pricing. If you are one away from the five piece set then maybe chase another Orb, if not then why bother. It's a +2 to one of your stats. Safeholds are all the rage right now.

Makes me sad, 8 years of collecting special orbs and it’s outdone by a vol IS / Charm. Or at least equaled.

Orb doesn’t take a slot, so it’s worth dramatically more than a slotted token. See also, Charm of Vitality vs Auril’s candle

Maybe you shouldn't have chased the Orbs then. Jeff said the Orb transmutes would not be powerful, intead more along the lines of "geeky True Dungeon fun" is what was stated. People seem to forget that.

This is true. I had stepped away from the forums. I had not known about the change until the final year.

This is neither here nor there, what’s done is done, doesn’t mean I still can’t be disappointed on the out come.

I was wondering the same thing - I have the first 6 Orbs.
Trying to decide if there is anyone who would want to purchase one of these orbs or if the price would drop enough for the last 2 to be worth it
