TOPIC: For 2024- Bedazzled Pants!

I know its early but it would be interesting if we are looking at Bead slot expanders for 2024, they need to be called "Bedazzled ..." Pants would be an interesting slot to put that as it would make you make a touch decision in order to expand the Beads. Just thought I'd put that out there.

A beaded necklace and bracelet and rosary come to mind as a obvious expansion items

TD kind of needs to slow down on the beads or put out an expander.

Currently I kind of feel like my slots are too full to pick up any more beads until the we get more space

Lucky traveler

2025 and 2026 one of these goes away, 2027 I get back the 2 slots.

I chose to skip on the legendary bead because I was going to need to give up free action or crits and sneak attacks. Now there are 2 fantastic treasure transmute beads but no room for them either.

It wasn’t too long ago that Druegar had a post about needing to nerf free movement because so many people had it from bead of the lucky traveler. The only way BoLT ends up falling out of builds is to have lots of comparably powered options. We are finally getting to the point where that is the case, so we shouldn’t get an expander. Ideally one never comes, but if it must come, it would be best to come after the Uber CoA has come out and we have had some time to see how beads shake out.

Think of beads like rings and neck items where there are way more options than slots to fit them in.

I accept the lucky traveler is great, that’s why me and so many others run it. But the amount of great beads that have come out in the last 2 years is crazy given how few slots there are to fit them in.

I honestly disagree, choosing what you equip should be that, a choice. Builds mean nothing if you can just equip every single good thing. A difficult choice between two tokens and debating which one is more worthwhile is a good thing and a sign of good game design. And it means you get to tinker with builds more

Once upon a time, there were no bead slots. Then, there was one.

Any equipped beads are just more than what existed. If the game just keeps effectively making tokens slotless with pretend slots, then it can never contain things like damage output.

But, maybe the game wants to keep stretching out the difference between playing out of a 10-pack and what the most expensive builds are capable of.
