TOPIC: Cup of Conversion / Bead of Binding / Lotus Blossom Question

Cup of Conversion / Bead of Binding / Lotus Blossom Question 2 years 3 months ago #1

I just want to ensure I am looking at this the correct way - I have a number of Poition Polymorph (Sea Hag) - UC 2022 that my wife and I can't use in our builds. Rather than transmute these for AI can I do the following with the tokens listed?

1. I have a Cup of Conversion - slotless
Which converts without requiring an action per Tokendb. I convert a polymorph potion unusable by our classes to 2 points of healing.

2. We both have Greater Bead of Binding. Adds +3 points of healing when you ingest a healing item.

3. I have Lotus Blossom Bowls. This single use per game is a stretch for the smaller healing potion BUT is the second person ingesting the healing using the bowls?

With this setup though it appears I can consume an unusable by my class UC potion as a healing potion and get 5 points. If I use the bowls with my wife does it send 5 to her? If so, if she Ingests with my Bowls would she now can get 8 points because her Bead of Binding gives her 3 more OR would she only only get 2 points (and if Lotus Blossom is an ingestion by the second party) would her Bead of Binding make it 5 or is it still only 2 points total?

The other person heals the same amount you do when using the Bowl, but they are not consuming the actual potion, so I don't believe they get the bonus from the Bead of Binding. So you'd use the cup and convert a potion to a 2 pt heal, the Bead would give you +3 points to get to 5 points and the Bowl would give the other person 2 pts of healing. You could throw in a Greater Alchemist Pouch to get yourself an extra 1 point, I think.

This got complicated, so consider this ruling to be in beta until we've worked out any kinks that may have developed. I'll delete this bit once the dust has settled.
Once per room, the effects from Cup of Conversion (CoC) and Bead of Binding (BoB) can be combined to produce a fluid that heals 5 HP when swallowed.

Lotus Blossom Bowls (LBB) does not duplicate healing bonuses from items the sharer is entitled to. Furthermore, the LBB sharee does not literally drink from the bowls. Therefore, the healing gained by the LBB sharee does not count as an ingested item. The TDb now states this.

Therefore, a character with an LBB, BoB, and CoC can convert a non-Common potion into a healing potion and heal +3 courtesy of the BoB. They can share that healing effect via LBB, but the LBB sharee does not get the bonus 3 HP from BoB--even if the LBB sharee also has a BoB equipped. Only the base 2 HP healing from CoC's conversion effect get shared by LBB.

Make sense?
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

Thanks! Yeah this all makes sense, I better understand the Bowls now - I normally would have reserved them for a larger need but I was wondering how far I could stretch a small heal.

Good question on the Greater Alchemist Pouch. Does the Cup of Conversion and Chalice of Conversion stack with the Greater Alchemist Pouch like the Girdle of Wealful Health does?
