An independent power. Personally I hope whatever items replace them do something individually without the need for activators. I also agree with putting the preceded "best" individual power closer to the end of the cycle.
Semper Gumby, Always flexible.

Sartre sits in in a coffee shop and asks for a coffee without cream. The barista apologizes “Sorry, we don't have any cream. Can I offer you a coffee without milk instead?”

Seems like you are basing your theory on the assumption that there is a drop in overal TD token sales. Do you have anything to support that assumption? Not saying it is incorrect just curious. If the assumption is correct the theory that teeth have an affect on sales is a valid theory, though one I don't know that I would agree with. But still it is a valid one. It is the original assumption though that I am curious about.

I'm not suggesting a sales comparison from year to year, as I have no sales data. It is a fact that prices for the teeth the last couple years is lower then the early teeth, and perhaps that has resulted in fewer $8K auctions getting funded (which seems like a logical hypothesis to me).

Counter-proposal: same amount funded, but other item prices have risen. For example, the PYP have gotten more expensive the past couple years. There are 4x the PYP as teeth, so a $5 increase on PYPs could correlate to a $20 drop for teeth.

You could be right. It's hard to know if a $5 to $10 increase in PYP prices resulted in fewer of them selling in auctions. I do expect PYPs to be cheaper next year, with the 1st year of the Teeth & Dragon Orb replacements probably getting premium prices.

I believe next year is the last year in the dragon orb run, not the first year of the next one.

It will be interesting to see what happens if there is a 1k reward token - auctions weren’t being run as they are now when the first tooth came out - I wonder what kind of prices the 1st item would go for.

1st tooth of Cavadar went for $75 when it was in print - but in much lower volumes than would be kicked out by auctions.

I would hate to throw other things on this topic, it is 2020 though and supplemental income for some is down, that could be affecting auctions as well. That said, I have been away from the forums and not watching auctions as much this year so I don’t know how auctions are going. Based on my current experience compared even to last year I’d say poorly.

I like the idea of the teeth replacement having specific abilities, even if the psychic powers were not fully known, they could have revealed and teeth could have provided those powers directly. Having the 7th tooth, and the power of 10 dr from a single attack would have made it a powerful and wanted token, and even the psychic ability tokens to go with it would have potentially retained their luster.

Employing a “trade” option for premium tokens or old URs is an interesting concept. If there were a “lost tooth of cavadar” that went without number and could count as any other tooth for the purposes of psychic ability and hp from that one skull it would likely not upset people, and might fix the current issue (assuming there is an issue with $25 teeth in auctions). It would likely upset a few from auctions last year, but what do they know, they probably weren’t wearing masks and hadn’t heard of social distancing yet. They probably were even planning on going to a in person convention still, lucky bast worshippers.
