TOPIC: Trade Tokens

Trade Tokens 4 years 8 months ago #1

Right now for Aragonite Nether and soul armor rares count for 6 units. Will that remain the same for next year or should I make sure to do a trade token mail in, since I cant convert trade tokens at Gencon.

The trade in values should stay the same.

Sometimes of course rare tokens are worth more to other players.

Please note that some trade goods require 25 units of tokens, while others require 25 of a specific type of token. One Aragonite requires 25 rare weapons/rare armor. In the example you gave, the Nether Stout Armor only counts as 1 of 25.

Information about the Token Exchange Program , including the value of rares, uncommons, and common tokens, can be found on the main TD website. I'm not aware of the values ever changing from 6/3/1, respectively, for trade goods measured in units. However, as Dave Autzen said, a token that is harder to find (say, a rare completion token) might be worth more money to a collector or on the open market than a typical rare token from the year's token set. It would still be worth 6 units toward a transmute, however.

Since 2018, tokens have a small code right at the top that tells you what trade goods they make. Older tokens don't. If you have any questions, you can always check the Token DB to confirm--the full entry for each token says how it is counted for the Token Exchange Program.

Belinda gave you good information but trying to understand the question:

Items that transmute to trade GOODS (as opposed to transmuted tokens) always retain their transmutability. You’ll be able to trade in your nether soul armor towards aragonite any year.

Note that rare armor and weapons count 1 point out of 25 toward aragonite, not 6 points though.
