Hello,

I'm preparing my transmutes for Gen Con since I'm not liking the idea of shipping CoA bits and other high value items. I have these individually bagged, with labels per this page: truedungeon.com/newsletter/TEP_form.pdf .

I'm also planning on transmuting Belts of Ogre Mage Power (3) and Enchanter's Whetstones (4). Can multiples of the same item be packaged in the same bag? Ex, parts for all 3 Belts in the same bag, or should the all be individually bagged? Will it add extra burden to the transmute team at Gen Con, and am I strongly encouraged to mail for these 7 items, or since I'm already transmuting at gen Con for some things, does it not matter?

Thanks!

They generally prefer each item's ingredients be in its own individual bag, but you can put all the individual bags in one bigger bag.

Gen Con is a busy con for transmutes, and there are often lines for the transmute room. If you have the time and shipping money, I'd go with mailing the lower level transmutes and save the high value stuff for the con. It helps cut down on the time for your order and the wait time for others. Outside of that consideration, however, they are fine with you bringing it all out to Gen Con with the exception of trade goods, which are for international attendees only.

Whenever I am transmuting multiples of the same thing, either by mail or at a con, I put the ingredients for each individual item in a snack-size bag, and then those bags in a larger bag (quart or gallon-size, depending). I also include a label reading “2 x Belt of Ogre Mage Power” (or whatever) in the larger bag, on the theory that it helps the transmute person know to expect that bag to contain 2 snack-size bags within, each with the stuff for a BOMP in it.

They make zipless baggies, too. Those are less bulky than their zippy cousins, and would work well for smaller transmutes, like Dogs. Relics, not so much.

Please do not ship tokens in zipless bags--not even within in a zipped bag. They have a habit of falling out during transit. The point of bagging tokens is to keep them segregated.
