I'd love to add this to my prototype token collection (which would bring the total to two). :)

Mike, what other prototype token do you have?

It's one of the prototype chip tokens Jeff made when he was making the switch from woodies to chip tokens. He sent a few out to players for review and comments. It’s the only chip steel flask token in existence. :)

Has an auction been announced?

I thought the last TD auction was in 2010?

They did one at gencon this year after the riddle reveal, no word on next year but I hope it's an ongoing thing again.

Oh wow - can’t believe I didn’t know about that.

What did they auction off?

What was accepted as payment - just GP or other stuff?

Laz has pictures of a lot of it on the fans of td Facebook group. Just go from what I understand, I know there was a cogwind medallion, Kovothes bloodless, red haring, giant beer mug, and I heard but cant confirm giant token that was hanging in the transmute room.

The Giant Token is real and was auctioned off. There was also two posters signed by Gary Gygax, Kovothes prop that was used on the tokens. I stumbled in on the action and wish I had my gold with me at the time.

It seems like 2 years ago that it was just as easy to use gold as cash. I was always in the have more cash then gold so hadn’t thought about it much until you mentioned it.

I forgot which year they were auctioned off. I used to buy all sorts of cool stuff at the auction. The Horn of Plenty (both the Giant token and the model), the Goblet of Healing, The Floating dice from 2005, two Stirges, a set of the original sliders, A ring of Wizardry worn by a dragon. Several build maps on foam board, I think the Jar the tokens came in was the model for a token.
