TOPIC: Falling down the rabbit hole...

I'm still (I think) relatively new to TD. GenCon this year was our 4th year, and I find myself (finally) starting to research more about the tokens, what's available, how I can kit myself out better, and hopefully eventually find regular groups of people to run with.

So anyways, I came across something about Onyx token sets. What are these? Is it just a different look/border color on the tokens?

Yes, there is no functional difference. Similar to gold vs platinum backed tokens.

You can get an Onyx R/U/C set anytime you buy the $8K token package. I'd guess there are maybe 40-60 of those sold this year. To get the Onyx URs you have to choose that option when you get the $8K package. There are several of us (me included) that collect the Onyx R/U/C sets each year.
