TOPIC: Converting old trade goods to new brown tokens

Converting old trade goods to new brown tokens 6 years 4 months ago #1

I've got a bunch yet. The token exchange program doesn't seem to give me the option to convert. How do I go about doing this now?

Based on what Jeff said at GHC, this won't be possible until Origins.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I just ordered them through the exchange and then sent in my gold ones.

We have what? A year? Two years?

I'm sure with transmuting I should burn through most of mine save the excessive amount of Dark Wood I have. Even then if my plans for the Legendary I'm working on should even take care of those.

What about wish rings?
I have a handful that I've pulled over the years. I never burn them because I have more gold than I do wish rings :P

Isn't an option to add them to the cart as a trade in.

I'm about to send in the last of this year's transmutes, before time runs out. I was planning on sending in trade goods and gold, since I'm paying the shipping .. and I dunno if I'll do any more transmutes until next year.

(who am I kidding, I'll do at LEAST one probably.)

Steve, TDb . TDb , Steve.

From the TDb description of Wish Ring (emphasis added):
In 2017, all Trade and Reserve tokens were redesigned with new high-rez artwork and chocolate-brown backs. Owners of the old, gold-backed versions can use their existing stock in transmuted recipes before December 1st, 2018. One-to-one exchanges can be done starting in September 2017. After December 1st, 2018, the old versions will no longer be exchangeable and may not be used in transmuted recipes nor used to make wishes.

If you look at the stat block for Wish Ring , you will see that it's classified as a Trade token. As such, it is included in the December 1, 2018 cutoff for the old-style Trade tokens.

Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

My point was more that it is not currently an option on the website. Thus no way to include them on an order for exchange.

I should have been more clear. I KNOW they expire soon :P that is why I was asking.
