I've seen them at a few comic book conventions over the years. They specialize in collectors.

Rogan and others - has anyone actually worked with these guys before? And more importantly, ever filed a claim?

I actually just got a policy from them recently. It went smoothly.

Steve is right, they don't care about appraisals and such unless you actually file a claim. Then you'd need to provide inventory list, photos, evidence that the loss occurred, etc. I just made my own Excel list with estimated values and took pictures and put all of that in cloud storage.
Classes Played: Barbarian (21 times), Monk (11), Cleric (9), Fighter (9), Rogue (9), Dwarf Fighter (7), Ranger (6), Paladin (5), Druid (5), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2).

Quick data point for the team...did some homework on a few options and ultimately went with Collectibles Insurance as well. The proof will be in what happens when a claim is filed (hopefully never), but these guys pitch themselves as hobbyists who will better understand something like TD, and I felt that to be true in my conversations with them. For reference, as a collector (and not a dealer) it cost me around 0.7% of the value I was insuring. I worked with a gal named Jeannie, super helpful and friendly.

Sorry for someone that hasn't a clue. That .07% is that monthly or yearly or what?

Annual. And 0.7%, to be clear (70 bps, not 7 bps).
