TOPIC: New to the Trade

My cousin introduced me to True Dungeon several years ago and I've been carrying the loot from his runs for awhile. After this year, I wanted to learn how to get better gear and to do transmutations and crafting. I have a crap load of gear, but most of it is useless.
I ran into a player who told me to come here to get started in starting to get better gear so maybe I won't have to play on normal and get harder won gear.
Right now all I know is I need to sort my treasure into like 12 categories. Don't know the categories though.

There is a trade token guide that spells out what each token transmutes into (but you usually don't have to look things up because it's fairly regular, for instance any uncommon token with a damage wheel transmutes to Elven Bismuth).

To be able to run on Hardcore, all you should need are good rare tokens in each slot - the bad news is you can't transmute those, but the good news is they are relatively cheap and you may be able to trade for them.
