from the TDb entry for Ring of Heroism :

6× different Completion Tokens from at least three different years. You may not use more than two from the same year and all must be from 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016.
OR

3× different Volunteer Tokens from three different years. You may not use more than one from the same year and all must be from 2013, 2014, 2015, or 2016.

Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
