TOPIC: Did you roll a 00?

Got a Stu's +3 Stein as my 00. Hoping to trade it for an Earcuff of Orbits.

At some point I clearly angered the token gods. No 00 for me again this year.

I couldn't roll a 00 if those were the only numbers on the dice. Got the requisite 1 UR in the condensed pack. Opened about 20 normal packs with nothing special. Jenny's opening the rest, because I am way too unlucky.

I should probably leave the room so I don't influence anything. Lol.

Update: Jenny's opening the rest and found another UR. Pretty much right on target with the UR rates. Lucky she's better at this than I am.

no 00 here. However, if I ever meet a bunch of low level Thralls that need gear, I am all set! Time to get some trade tokens and transmute....

Got Redoubt Shield & Ring of Spell Storing as my crits.

None for me for 4 years in a row. My luck is still the same. Luckily still time to buy more tokens.

Lady Luck must like me because this is my second year I got a 00 out of a 30 token 10-pack. Ring of Spell Storing, not too shabby.

It got me thinking if there are better odds splitting a 1k, 2k, or 8k order with someone than just buying a $250 PYP. Are all packs rolled for a 00 as they are sorted out or does Jeff and the packers have another method? I'm curious

I'm not sure you'll get an official answer here.
I can tell you that the way large numbers work you'll see the expected avg more often. Your sample size is small so the RNG will be fickle. If you buy loads of tokens you're more likely to get the number you expect to get. Splitting up an 8k order would allow the group to get more consistent numbers but still doesn't ensure you will get better or even more consistent numbers unless your group has some type of sharing/balancing mechanism in place.

It's advertised as "one pack in a hundred" has a chance for a UR.

Your best bet to achieve the average is to buy a condensed pack. It's equal to 120 packs, and has one guaranteed UR and a 20% chance at a second. But, it costs $1000.

The upside is, you avoid the 30% (.99^120) chance of drawing zero URs. The downside, other than the price, is you give up the 12% chance of drawing three or more.

Val's right. Unless each person in the pool is spending at least $1k, you're still going to have to dice off for the URs or something, and you're back at the mercy of the token gods, plus whatever fates control your randomizer method (e.g. Dice, cards, arm wrestling...)
