There were two different treasure boxes last year, yes.

One had more monster bits, and the other.. well... I wouldn't call it "regular". Due to the fact that someone generously used their Artifact token for this special effect, the other treasure box had a LOT of high-end treasure in it. Something like 5% of the tokens drawn were special (as in, URs, lots of Relics, and other cool stuff.)

This year, the mix should be back to normal (with only 1% cool stuff, including only 1 copy of each relic).
