That is my assumption also.

Actually I'm suprised at your respose Mike, this would mean only you could use your 4 completed rods, or could you only use one and the other three go unused?

I think this goes against rewarding big investors like yourself. I don't think Jeff would want to go down this path. The rod's voucher should be able to be used by anyone in your party; or maybe, you could use one of the other vouchers in a second run. You (and I, and all other big investors) should have the flexibility to use the ONE time voucher as we see fit. That is what keeps big investors (well, at least me) happy. LOL!!!

Jim

jim, you misunderstood the phrase 'holder of the rod'. that is not referring to the owner, making it function like an artifact, it is referring to the current user. since mike will have 4 rods, any adventure he goes on there will, presumably, be 4 'holders of the rod' who would be eligible to use a voucher.

hence my workaround if I decide to let my rogue-friend use a voucher, she will just have to wait for a run that my druid-wife is not on.
...I just had this thought cross my mind: my friend can only use my rod when my wife isn't playing with it.

Kent, exactly. All four of the Rods will be in use every adventure we go on, three by the Druid/Cleric/Wizard, and the fourth undecided. I'm not sure yet if we'll all use the voucher on the same run, or perhaps spread them out on multiple runs. It probably depends on how awesome the various prestige classes are. If one or two are especially awesome, I might have those two use two vouchers each on two different runs.

I also hope we are able to keep the vouchers as keepsakes once they are used. Hopefully they can be stamped or some similar marking to show they were used as opposed to collecting them.

I glad we are on the same page. I will probably let my regulars (6 of the nine others that run I with, usually run every run I do, at least for the 10 team runs I create) use the vouchers. That gives me 3 to assign to the one time runner, or maybe I'll use more than one. I just want the flexibilty to make decisions like this.

It would be nice to keep the character card you turned the voucher in for. I suspect that may happen as we typically keep the character cards already (I usually recycle mine at least once). I doubt we will be able to keep the vouchers, though I suppose we could always not use one LOL!

I know there was talk at one point of the other tokens required to make the rod possibly being one of each trade token and a golden fleece, but has Jeff officially said that is what it will be? I am attempting to get tokens ready for Who's Yer Con and realized I don't know what tokens should be set aside for the Ro7P and was just wondering if I missed it.

I will be completing a rod as well. I got my segment 1 from Smak and he hasn't posted anything about how many he has so pretty sure it hasn't been counted

I look forward to my little rodling growing up into a full blown rod. Add 1 to the tally.
I can't help being a gorgeous fiend. It's just the card I drew.
