Thanks for the changes. I would still recommend for the healing potion to change the wording for the recipe from "any 1 point healing potion" to "any common healing token". The way the wording currently is, it will exclude exchanging the following common healing tokens: Dwarven Rations, Orcish Rations, Goodberry, and even Fermented Frostberries from 2012.

I could see it being slightly more expensive also - even trading in 12 or 13 common tokens for a 10 point transmuted token seems like a pretty good deal :)

Thanks!
Mike

those are not potions...we are making a bigger potion. So I see why it is worded that way

From a logical perspective, the Goodberry and Fermented Frostberries were the "1 Pt Potion of Healing" equivalent token for those years, so it makes sense they would be included as well.

And from a story perspective, I could certainly see including all the different common healing tokens as part of making a more powerful healing potion. Pour a few healing potions in the pot, mix in a couple of frostberries & a Dwarven Ration, stir until dissolved - Voila! That's no different from potions in fiction needing wings of bat, eye of newt, etc :)

NO clue, but I am sure there is a reason.

Its magic...

That the D&D equivalent of your Dad saying "because I said so."

EXACTLY

Which is why I mentioned the proposed change to Jeff. It would work just as well with all common healing tokens as with just common healing potions, it's just whichever way Jeff wants to go. I'm hoping he decides to include all common healing tokens, as I am sure there are just as many (for example) Fermented Frostberries out there as there are some of the common healing potions. Including all common healing tokens would help clear out the surplus of a lot more tokens than just common healing potions would.

Aragonite for sure. Between this years recipes and the ROH to come to the transmute list next year it will be in high demand.

Minotaur Hide continues as a resource constraint as well.

And here I was going to go for some of the relics this year...looks like I'll have to spend a LOT more on tokens than I was planning on if the trade items go up.

I really don't like additional URs from a specific year being required for a timeless legendary.

For the Charm of Heroism I understand this, since a might set item is being reprinted every year, but for other tokens, this seems excessive.

If the idea of a relic is to reward large token buyers with something for which to use their trade items, and legendaries are something to save up for potentially over years, this seems to significantly limit the $2k and less buyers.

For example, John Doe likes playing a monk...he drools over Asher's Fang.

John makes a $2k order, since the AG rewards are cool, and he is blessed with enough money to make said order.
John wants to have the Viper set so he can be a cool Viper Monk, so PYPs are:
$1k:
Viper Fang x2
Viper Belt
Viper Shirt

If he wants to have any chance to upgrade to Asher's, for the second part of his order, he will need:
Viper Belt
Viper Shirt
Since he's a monk, he wants the cool Flying Fist gloves

With a $2k order, John really only has 1 PYP to choose, since all his other choices are taken up by PYPs for Asher's Fang and the obvious Monk choice for John, since he started playing within the last couple years.

As an alternate scenario, if we change to a UR requirement of any UR weapon, and reduce the requirement to 1 UR, his first $1k is the same:
$1k:
Viper Fang x2
Viper Belt
Viper Shirt

Let's say John had a lot of fun at TD 2013, and was lucky enough to get a +2 longsword in one of his treasure pulls, thanks to Wirt's and Jeff's benevolence. Since he can't use that, now, he can look forward to using it for the Asher's Fang sometime in the future. You could also insert instead here, John gets a +2 Slayer's Sword or Longbow as a random, and can trade that in towards Asher's.

John now has for his 2nd half of his order:
Gloves of Flying Fist
3 PYPs of whatever cool URs he wants to choose from.

John is going to be a happier TD purchaser, and doesn't feel like he was pigeon-holed out of his PYP choices.

Also, John doesn't feel like he's being cheated by preferring a character who can't use Welfor's Sword or Io's Bow, which are both significantly cheaper than Asher's. If John becomes a legendary fan, he also has more flexibility in someday to have a hope to make a second Asher's...which he would have no hope to get the PYPs for with scenario 1, unless he dedicates his 2015 order as well...

OIL ench=19
Stones=89
GPs/equilv=234,000
if making one of each. I didnt add in Rares and URs
This one is keeping relic and then making another relic to transmute to legendary

UPDATE: rough estimate to make one relic(to keep) and legendary=$13400..HOLY CRAP

Actual totals:
INK=33 x $11.00 = $363
PARCH=87 x $4.00 = $348
Arg=20 x $35.00 = $700
PLanks=141 x $4.00 = $484
Steel=129 x $4.00 = $516
Bis=17 x $17.00 = $289
MUN=19 x $8.00 = $152
Fleece=5 x $70.00 = $350
HIDES=39 x $9.00 = $351
SILKS=45 x $10.00 = $450
OIL ench=14 x $20.00 = $280
Stones=71 x $9.00 = $639
GPs/equilv=291,000 (assuming no wish ring) .025 = $7275

Total for all 5 legendaries (including relics) = $12,277 this is still HOLY CRAP BATMAN!

The numbers should be correct unless excel lied to me (wouldn't be the first time)

If trade item prices go up from that, the cost could be even more...

Add about another 1300 for all URs and misc to get a real total

The GPS will be less. My totals were assuming no wish rings

Numbers seem close, but I'd buy any Dwarven Steel that is available for $4 each and I'd sell all the Ink I have for $11 each. Note that I am short on Minotaur hides though.

For us, the hardest part to get to build legendaries is the gold.

It was high on some
Low on others.
Again these prices will change.
Planks and steel will be around 5 ea( my guess)
Silk and hides around 11 or higher
Just don't know what the market will demand

Can't see that silks and hides will be in that high demand this year. The recipes don't call for that much this year...

The ink would be more appropriate at $4-5
