TOPIC: Token Sashes

Re: Token Sashes 10 years 7 months ago #13

Thanks for all of the info! When you say that the pockets are sealed, and that you can't get tokens out during a run--can you say more about that? Are they permanently sealed, or...?

Oh no, not permanently. It's hard to explain, but the pockets open to the *middle* of the row, and there's Velcro all along that edge. You could get it open, but the DM would be quite frustrated with you by the time you did, and if you did it too much, the 'hook' side of the Velcro would scrape all the skin off your fingers. I bought two sashes from Binia this year, one for me and one for my wife. Totally worth every single penny. Awesome creative item that is amazingly functional.

The token pockets are clear, so you can see and read the token inside. The pockets are closed with velcro that *stays* closed even while jostled around on a run.

Trust me: They ARE worth it.

If she is taking orders I truly think I will commit for this next year.

These things are awesome. I've been using mine since 2008. Not only do they look (and work) great, it helps with token management- and gives a great sense of security not to have to worry about your tokens when you're crawling around the floor for a physical puzzle!

Oh- and spring for the velcro on the back. Trust me.

Another tip for advanced Sash Wearers: I use scotch tape on the front pouches. Helps keeps potions secure, but still accessible.

Extra advanced tip for advanced Sash Wearers: Take the tape off when you get home from Gencon. No problem for short times, but it gets gummy if you leave it stuck on for a full year.

I'll just sub it out to a third world country and pay them 3 cents an hour.
