Binia, a forumite here makes them, and she does awesome. I personally own 2, my group has a total of 4, and another member ordered one this year for GenCon next year.

I would send her a PM.

(and I highly recommend them. She also had a prototype vest this year.)

I'd be interested in finding out more, too (in both the sashes and the vests).

Thanks for all the compliments and interest! I usually use faux suede and faux leather, so they're a heavier weight fabric. But the only rule is that it shouldn't be stretchy - I've used silks, brocade, linen, quilting cotton, and lots of costuming fabrics.

Here's what I currently have in my fabric stash:

1 - Medium blue paisley

2 - Purple suede

3 - Distressed faux leather, nearly black

4 - Clay red with dragonflies

5 - Tan tooled looking faux leather

6 - Med tan suede

7 - Dark brown faux leather

8 - Lighter tan suede

9 - Tan with clay/green flower pattern

10 - Chocolate brown suede

11 - Giraffe (?) suede (no giraffes were harmed in the production of this material)

12 - Brown suede

13 - Light blue suede

14 - Charcoal denim

Sashes come in three varieties:

1. Basic, single sided - 6 rows with 3 pockets that open to the top, plus a 'hidden' weapon pocket. Holds 18 tokens plus whatever you cram into the weapon pocket. Stuff could fall out if you turn somersaults, crawl on the floor or breakdance. $25

2. Same as above, plus a completely sealed row of pockets on the back. Pockets are two across, face the middle, and have Velcro closures. Adds 24 slots for tokens, and those will not fall out. $40

3. Sealed rows on both sides. Total of 48 spots for tokens, but you cannot get anything out during your run, so no space for consumables or your weapons. Also $40

If you are interested in a sash, please pm me with your style and fabric choice. I'm also willing to find other fabrics to suit your taste - I love shopping for fabric!

About how much fabric does it take? And is cotton too stretchy?

And would it be possible to get the double sealed sash with a hidden weapon pocket?

I think Binia just sold her winter months away.

Finally, about the vests. They're awesome, but much more complicated to make. I started with a basic, no pocket pre-made vest and added multiple types of pockets. I'd ask $100 to make another one - and unfortunately, I didn't keep a photo of the finished ones I made for CommanderFuron. If you think you're interested, send me a pm.
