TOPIC: Gencon 2013 - How were your Pulls?

We (my 2 sons and I, and for 3 runs another 2 friends (total of 5)) had a total of (15 tokens for each person on each run) so around 405 token pulls. From my understanding I was one of the few that pulled from the trophy box a lot! Going from memory… so the items are probably off slightly.
I used 200 pulls from the trophy box:

Golem Spring 10+
Werewolf Fang 10+
Direwood Thorn 10+
Genie Vapor 10+
Well have some for trade – Joe (Kuda???) asked first, I can’t remember his forum name…

The other boxes, didn’t know there was a difference in the boxes:

1x Cloak of the Mage UR
1x Draco Lich Charm UR
1x Charm of Heroism UR
1x Scepter of the Dead UR
1x +5 Girdle of Frost Giant Strength Relic
1x +3 Girdle of Hill Giant Strength UR
2x +3 Ammo of Alteration Relic
1x +2 Keen Sword – I think…
1x +1 Broadsword of Life Stealing UR
2x +3 Mithral Bracers Relic
2x +4 Cloak of Destiny Relic
2x Gem of Healing UR
1x Ring of Improved Evasion Relic
And a few more…

We also have a bunch of completion tokens…

63 pulls from the Equipment bin
-UR Mage Cloak
-UR Holy Sword
-Ammo of Alteration
-6 rares

20 pulls from the bits n pieces bin
-2 Monster bits... seeking the others for my collection

I did just over 100 pulls this year total. Split between ingredients and the gear bucket very randomly.

Of the 4 ingredients I did not pull one Genie Vapor but have 4 Direwood Thorns and a couple of the other 2.

1 - Ring of Heroism
1 - Ring of Focus
1 - Ring of Improved Evasion
1 - Dragon Tooth Amulet
1 - Draco Lich Claw Charm
1 - Charm of Heroism
1 - Shirt of Shielding

And a ton of the usual rares/uncommons.

I pulled 11 times from the gear box.

Lots of common/uncommon
Girdle of Frost Giant Str
Elixir of Life

I do think it is funny that before GenCon there was a discussion on the board about there being two types of boxes (one being monster heavy and the other being UR and above heavy). Almost everyone except me said they would take from the monster heavy box. It does not appear that to be the case actually....lol.

I was one of those with that plan. Fortunately I talked to the volunteers manning the boxes first (nobody else was there at the time) and they told me that cool stuff was being pulled from the other box. So I switched my plan to a 50/50 mix, starting with the other box - and once I saw some of the tokens we were pulling, we pretty quickly shifted to a 100% non-monster box strategy.

My group had about 130 pulls that I can remember, maybe 100 gear and 30 trophies. The only outstanding tokens I remember were a handful of trophies, maybe 5, and 2 Charms of Heroism and a Girdle of Frost Giant Strength (+5). We did get some other decent stuff, but those were the big ones...

i went opposite. started 50/50..then saturday/sunday went 75/25 (monster bits/good stuff)
i am gambling that there will be a combo needing bits from this year...so those could be like creeper thorn a few years back
i will take no pity on those that will need monster bits

Token pulls were rather good this year for our group.

Out of 98 pulls, we got a Ring of Heroism, +2 Keen Scimitar, DracoLich claw Charm, and Frost Giant Belt.

So I did close to 200+ pulls or so from my 14 runs and came out with the following

~50 pulls from monster bit box got
3 werewolf fangs
9 Direwood Thorns
7 Genie Vapors
11 Golem Spring

From the other 150 gear box pulls I ended up pulling the following

1 Draco Lich Claw Charm
2 Ring of Improved Evasion
1 Girdle of Hill Giant Str
2 +2 Mithral Bracers
1 +2 Holy Great Sword
1 +2 Flaming Short Bow
2 UR Specials
2 Charms of Heroism
1 Bracers of the Quivering Palm

I also pulled for my sweetheart and a few other people and in doing so pulled the following:

70ish pulls - Draco-Lich Claw, Frost Belt, Imp Evasion Ring.
