- First thing to do is settle on your class. Choose your class based on your own skills, and which seems like it would be the most fun for you. If you're good with your hands, and always win at the board game "Operation", go with Rogue. If you've got a good memory, and are gifted at horticulture, Druid. If you'd prefer less stress and just want to hit things, any of the fighter or its traditional variants.
- You don't have to spend much on tokens to have a strong build. Decide on the class you want to play, then get with one of the big traders on the forums, and ask for their help setting you up with Reds and Greens for your class. You'll certainly feel the difference in the dungeon!
- Druid should absolutely wear the Charm of Heroism. Those extra spells are very nice.
- Rogue would be much happier if you pick up Boots of Elvenkind, Masterwork Tools. Both are from 2011, but should not be too hard to find- and well worth the hunt.
- Fighters really like last year's red Defender Set.
- The Save rings from this year would be quite nice for all classes.
- Remember, if you haven't set up your group before hand, there is a chance you might not get the class you initially planned on playing.
