TOPIC: Completion Tokens and Trade Tokens

Completion Tokens and Trade Tokens 11 years 3 months ago #1

In anticipation of a token delivery I was looking through the Trade Token Guide and noticed that completion tokens are not listed anywhere. Are they not transmutable? They are not listed under the section of non-transmuatable tokens.

The completion tokens will be used for the Ring of Heroism transmute starting in 2016, so they would be in a list of transmutable tokens. Here is the listing from the very bottom of the quick reference guide.

Participation
☐Belt of the ____ (R)
☐Belt of the ____ (UC)
☐Ioun Stone ____ ____ (UC)
☐Ioun Stone ____ ____ (R)
☐Ring of ____ (R)

Since the Ring is the only one by itself I will assume it will be the token from True Grind, and the 2 belts are one dungeon, while the two Ioun Stones are for the second dungeon.

The one I'm not sure about is if the UC is for normal and the Rare is for Nightmare. Also I have heard rumors that last year if you ran nightmare you would get 2 completion tokens, I would assume it would be the Nightmare and the Normal level completion tokens. Not sure though. Anyone add to this?

What about 2012 completion tokens, like the Potion of Dwarven Dopplebock or the Wicked Charm? My understanding is that they will not count towards the Ring of Heroism.

Correct the completion items that count towards the ring begin next year.

Hmmm.... What was the final verdict on completion tokens for advanced runs?

(ie. If you run Nightmare, do you get Nightmare + regular completion tokens, or just the Nightmare token?)

I believe it is as follows:

Normal = Uncommon Completion Token
Hardcore = Rare Completion Token
Nightmare = Rare AND Uncommon Completion Tokens.

I'm not sure if Non-Lethal gets a Completion Token.

They really should be called Participation Tokens, because you don't need to successfully complete the Dungeon to get one. :)

I thought there were only three levels of difficulty: non-lethal, normal, and nightmare. I remember people discussing adding another, but was that done last year?

There was a forth level last year but it was only available for grind. This year it should be available for the Dungeon propper too.

Is Hardcore between Normal and Nightmare? If so from lowest to highest it would be:

Non-Lethal
Normal
Hardcore
Nightmare

That's correct. I think Non-Lethal might be getting a new name, but I can't remember what it is.
