The text in the TDb entry for Mithral Coin of Fate has been updated to reflect how the token was actually awarded and the token image has been replaced.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Well, I heard that you only got a *chance* to get it. Those turning in a Special flipped a coin so you got a 50/50 chance of getting it.

If that is true, maybe the token database should be updated to reflect that since right now it says that you automatically got one for turning in a Special.

This is correct. If turned in, they got to flip the token. If it landed Special side up they got the token. If it landed face-down, they got zlitch. A few token collectors went away disappointed...but it was worth the risk to them.

i would take that chance again, any day of the week

So all those that have them, what are they going to redeem for?

My guesses:

Horn of Plenty
Rod of 7 parts 1
Alchemist Pouch

Was talking to Kurtreznor about the odds and likelihood of anyone picking anything other than HoP...think the highest odds are there (and honestly, it's what I would pick if I had the opportunity...and given that my collection is small..)

Those with small collections will get it just on the chance of being able to fill their collection with good draws....collectors with many tokens will likely get one in order to have more pulls even if they already have one by loaning strategically. All in all..seems the likeliest option. :-)

I'd definitely be going for the Rod Parts 1 & 2.
Applications programming is a race between software engineers, who strive to produce idiot-proof programs, and the Universe, which strives to produce bigger idiots.

So far, the Universe is winning.

I have a party's worth of HoP, I am leaning toward seg 1&2

Lazlo: You are the one type of exception I can think of. With that many HoPs, I could easily see you going for the first two rod segments...thus putting yourself within easy distance of completing the entire rod. I can think of a few others on the forum who would do similar. Still, though, I think the majority would go HoP. I'd LOVE to see an accurate statistic of how many turn in for each (and the odd person who turns in for something none of the rest of us think of). :-)

I'd be very surprised if anyone turned one in for an Alchemist Pouch. It is worth far less than the other two, and I'm not sure if it's ever been useful on an adventure (although I'm still carrying mine just in case).

I wonder how many won't be turned in at all. There are probably some collectors that want to keep one for their collection.

I'm surprised (and disappointed) that it can be used on Horns of Plenty at all, I thought Jeff said that no more would be released into distribution. And given the likelihood of nearly all of them being turned in for Horns of Plenty, I'm surprised that there are that many Horns of Plenty left in the True Dungeon vault to give out. I do hope this is the last time Horns of Plenty are handed out.
