TOPIC: Question About Token Stacking

dbradical wrote: Correct, we do not limit much in terms of how much you want to carry in the dungeon (no attempt at trying to determine burden and how it affects movement, etc.) But frankly the physical weight of the tokens prevents one from wanting to carry too much in the dungeon. Your arms either start to ache, or you pants start to fall down with all the weight in the pockets.

And thus, typical adventuring garb should consist of cargo pants, a weight-lifter's belt, and reinforced suspenders.

Then on top of the weight lifters belt, you need either batmans utility belt, or a police officers carry everything you will ever need belt.

Actually, I plan to create a something that I will use to carry and display all the wands I want to use, so the "no limit on special items" is great news.

I'll post picks when I have something cobbled together.

I like my BDUs but I have to have a good belt. I tend then to sort things in the four main pockets, that with the really nice sash Bina made for me and I am pretty good to go. More than that, and I just do not have time to fish stuff out.
I do like seeing the different solutions people come up with however. The endless ingenuity is cool.

A good photographers or fishing vest is all you need for pockets on the torso, great for a pocket of healing potions or scrolls.
My advice for anything pocketted, keep your tokens in a drawstring bag and in the pocket. Because there have been challenges where crawling/ crouching is needed and if your tokens are loose in a big pocket they will end up on the floor.

My advice, keep weapons in front pocket of your primary hand.
Keep key consumables (so Ioun stone: violet prism, mirror) in the other.
Healing in a back pocket.

The rest of the stuff, that is not changing, that you show only at the start.

Look at binia's sash fashion and function. Or the token holders made by.....drat name escapes me, but he does great work in leather, sturdy and really keep the tokens in there.

Or if you want to go cheap, go to Office Max, look for the tug translucent pencil pouch.
Measure out 2.25 inch lines, perpendicular to the opening, and staple from the clear side.
Apply tape down the back over the staples (so the staples don't snag on on your clothes).
Get good twine (or clip lanyards) and clip/tie to the holes. I have two of these per team-member. And having taken a full one outside and swung it over my head as hard as I could and not have the seal or holes break, I trust these to carry my "once overs." (NOTE: I did learn to mark one end of the zip seal as open and the other closed, I leave to your imagination how I learned this).

Molda is the resident leather-working genius.

And Binia's sashes are awesome!

You mean Molda (Lou). And his leather token wallets are fantastic. Mine holds all the stuff I need to show but don't need to pull out. I then do just what you suggested- melee and ranged in front left pant pocket, divine damage scrolls front right pocket, healing scrolls in front left cargo, healing potion in front right cargo, Pearls of Prayer left back pocket, random divines right rear.

I still think that Batman's utility belt is cooler.

Where does he get those wonderful toys?

I don't know who suggested it, but I picked up two "tool band-it" tool bands for my arms. They hold about ten tokens apiece securely, and I may be picking a few more up to modify into some sort of chest piece. If you don't have many wood tokens and only have the newer metal core ones, they seem like they will be a fantastic way to carry tokens (or at least tokens you need to have access to during the run).

I was the one who suggested the Tool Band-It. I've used mine at TD for the last two years and absolutely love it! The kind I have will secure 12 chippy tokens on my arm.

I just did a search for them and the official site still sells them for 20 bucks plus shipping, but Amazon (as of this writing) has them for four dollars plus shipping, but it's eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime. That's 80% off what I originally paid! I may just order a few more for spares and/or gifts.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Then I thank you for the great idea! I bought a few - some to use on their own and others to modify into some sort of magnetic armor (depending on how crafty I feel). The couple I already have will make token finding a lot easier (I used to use the pocket method, but why do that when I can have all my tokens readily accessible, and I always would forget which pocket held what)

My question for the Tool Aid - how dangerous are they to computers other non-solid-state drive electronics (ie older model ipods)?
