It's a great idea and it helps keep the focus of the game where the focus should be, on the substance of the game, the in game challenges, rather than the competitive power and dollar cost of the tokens. We have gone the purp route to help support TD as much as for any other reason, but playing the red way appeals to me from the perspective of enjoying the game more rather than worrying about power creep and all the other nasties that go with the big token buyers.
Of all the traits of humanity, there is only one we do not share with other species, which sets us apart and makes us unique <br />-- the ability to imagine.

Out of curiosity - does Red Guild allow Horns of Plenty and Rings of Riches?  Those tokens don't impact game play at all, except negatively by taking a slot other tokens could take - but do grant extra loot.  =)
