Well...I have held this off as long as I can.  I wanted the Artifact bearers to enjoy their secret knowledge as long as possible.  But DMs need to know what they do, so I might as well tell everyone else...<br /><br /><br /><br /> Gearon's Blessed Cloak <br /><br />+3 Saves  (as Dougal’s Cloak of the Stars)<br />Permanent Bless in effect for party  (+1 to hit and +1 fear saves)<br />Once per Dungeon - Flight (as the scroll)<br /> <br />The side effect :  The wearer of Gearon’s Blessed Cloak will only touch one weapon in existence – Gearon’s Blessed Mace.  If that weapon is not available, the wearer will only strike with their fists.  More over, the wearer MUST attack all undead encountered with total abandonment and rage – doing nothing else until all the undead are defeated.  This rage is so complete the wearer will immediately drop their shield when attacking undead.<br /><br /><br /><br /> Smakdown's Charm of Camaraderie <br /><br />+1 Character Level for entire party<br /><br />The side effect:  Smakdown's connection is so strong to his party, that the first damage that is done from a monster to the character is divided in two.  Smakdown takes half of the total damage, and the first person damaged takes half the total damage.  <br /><br /><br /><br /> Widseth's +2 Dancing Mithral Longsword <br /><br />Besides the obvious powers, the Sword will fight by itself as long as Widseth is within 30 feet.  While it fights Widseth can fight with another weapon or cast spells, etc.  The sword cannot fight flying creatures, but it could fight a creature at a distance like on a ledge or across a chasm if Widseth is within 30 feet.<br /><br />The side effect: At the beginning of every adventure Widseth must feed the sword a large Ruby to activate it.<br /><br /><br /><br /> UNCLAIMED <br /><br />An Arcane Recipe Token acquired by a TD Vet has yet to be converted into an Artifact.<br /><br />

So, are there any 5th level character cards for players with a certain boon/curse?  That would be interesting to see.

<br /><br /> my party will be running at 4th level.  i haven't heard, or thought about, stacking this with the UR set that grants another level.  ;/<br /><br />being that it is so close to gencon, this decision might have to wait until next year.  =|  :|

Isn't there someone who also has a permanent +1 level? If that stacks with Smak's power, that person would be level 5. Also, if it stack with the AoW, he/she could even hit 6. <br /><br />And even more awesome, with all that, next year with the general level up and the might set, that person could hit level 8! :O

<br />This years AoW, unless it changes at GenCon, does not add levels, instead its a dice roll for a random effect.

Sorry...but any +1 level effect does NOT stack...contrary to want I may have posted earlier.  Things are crazy busy now, and I am now going to stop posting stuff until I get a breath.<br /><br />Smakdown's group will have the advantage of being +1 without having to have the Trio of Might in play.<br /><br />....EDITED....

Are the artifacts class specific?  I presume they are restricted to the player and not a specific class, although some are obivously designed with certain classes in mind.

<br />Artifacts are Soul-bound to the creator, so they only work for that person, and no one else.<br /><br />From the Token Guide page 110 <br />

<br />Only one copy of the item will be made, and that item will be “soul bound to the player” (i.e., only the player can use in the game).<br />

<br /><br />Ahhh, I see your point, my guess is yes, as long as that class could use that mace (which eliminates rogue, wizard, and druid) he could.  Which is why I think Smakdown's choice is one of the best, but knowing Gearon has been a cleric most of his TD career, I don't seem him stepping out into something else.
