How many points of Frost Damage does the "Frost Short Bow" do? I know the +2 Flaming short bow is 2 fire (equal to the items magical bonus).

No additional damage, it just turns the weapon damage from the arrow into cold damage rather than just physical... And yes, if you used the Frost Shortbow and the Arrow of Frost do stack...

Dave
Yes, the version I will be printing for the con will indicate this. It should be posted as soon as Jeff looks it over.

And I added some text about them both in the new players guide.

Dave

Right, but you are limited to a maximum of +5 "Bonus" cold damage again Smoak per attack, so you would only get the +2 from the Arrow of Frost, not + 5 bonus from the bow and +5 bonus from the arrow.

I was asking mainly for future cold resistant creatures? If 100% of the damage is cold (frost) then a creature immune to cold damage would take zero damage from it?

That is not how I interpret it.

any combination of attacks that have a cold component will do an additional total +5 points of damage. However, you still get the base damage modifiers from all damage modifiers. So, a Winter Runestone (+1 cold damage) and Oil of the Yeti (+3 cold damage) would do a total of 1 + 3 + 5 = 9 points of extra damage

If the bow did 6 pts of damage, and you used a arrow of frost to add an additional +1 point of damage, that would be 7 points of cold damage. But since Smoak is vunerable to cold, he takes an additional +5 points of damage. That would mean to me that the total damage would be 12 points of damage, not a capped 5 points...

Dave

Yes, I would say that is correct.

Yes, I meant the BONUS damage from cold was capped at +5 so using more than one "cold" source (such as an arrow of frost) didn't supply any additional benefit other than the underlying +2.
