Anyone can use +2 Bracers or Celestial Bracers for a +2 AC in the Bracer slot.

The +3 Purple Mage item is Cloak of the Mage, the +2 Red is Robe of the Mage.

Dragonscale Helmet is +2 AC for Barbarian, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, and Paladin.

+1 Plate is +9 AC, +1 Tower Shield is +4 AC, so I get +17 from the items you listed (rather than +15).
Everyone wears:

+1 Ring of Protection (+1)
Gloves of Dexterity (+1)
Celestial or +2 Bracers of Defense (+2)
Torc of Natural Armor (+2)

Barbarian:
Troll Hide Armor (+5)
+1 Tower Shield (+4)
Dragonscale Helmet (+2)
Natural Dex (+1)

Barbarian Max AC = 28

Bard:
Mithral Chainmail (+6)
Dragonscale Shield (+3)
Mithral Cap (+1)
Natural Dex (+1)

Bard Max AC = 27

Cleric:
+1 Plate Armor (+9)
Dragonscale Shield (+3)
Dragonscale Helmet (+2)

Cleric Max AC = 30

Druid
Dragonscale Armor (+8)
Dragonscale Shield (+3)
Dragonscale Helmet (+2)
Natural Dex (+3)

Druid Max AC = 32

Fighter
+1 Plate Armor (+9)
+1 Tower Shield (+4)
Dragonscale Helmet (+2)

Fighter Max AC = 31

Monk
Natural Dex (+2)
Natural Armor Bonus (+3)

Monk Max AC = 21

Paladin
+1 Plate Armor (+9)
+1 Tower Shield (+4)
Dragonscale Helmet (+2)
Natural Dex (+1)

Paladin Max AC = 32

Ranger
Mithral Chainmail (+6)
Spiked Buckler (+1)
Mithral Cap (+1)
Natural Dex (+2)

Ranger Max AC = 26

Rogue
Mithral Chainmail (+6)
Natural Dex (+3)

Rogue Max AC = 25

Wizard
Cloak of the Mage (+3)
Robe of the Mage (+2)

Wizard Max AC = 21

Looks like Druid and Paladin are still in the lead with AC 32, and Monk and Wizard are last at AC 21.

Gloves of Dexterity are +2 Dex (+1 AC) and usable by all. They may not be the best option, compared to Gauntlets of Ogre Power, for example, but are definitely the way to go for a higher AC.

In building for AC, you hit a lot of tradeoffs. If you expect fire damage, the Dragonscale set may be the best option for a Fighter, even though the armor is 1 point less than +1 Plate, and the shield is 1 point less than +1 Tower. Once your AC hits a certain point (like 27+), you are only going to get hit on a natural 20 anyway, so it's better to take a point or two off of AC to emphasize other aspects (like the fire resistance of the Dragonscale set or the extra Str of the Gauntlets of Ogre Power). I would also pick the Horn of Plenty, Amulet of Wonder, or Medallion of Greyhawk over the Torc of Natural Armor, though the Torc obviously gives you the biggest AC boost.

I've heard that the Purple +1 Ring of Protection stacks with the Red +1 Ring of Protection, but I don't think that's mentioned in the token guide, so I don't know if that's official.
Also consider when Smoak breathes fire on you, it's not your AC that matters, but your reflex save! I almost always use the +4 save rings over the ring of protection. Maybe that's why a ring of reflexes is going for over $30 on ebay right now.

Interesting offshoot...what have you personally found to be the best set up for each class and/or what do you think will be the best set up for next years dungeon?

Jennifer
Interesting offshoot...what have you personally found to be the best set up for each class and/or what do you think will be the best set up for next years dungeon?

Jennifer

Barbarian:
If really concerned about Will saves, I could see swapping the Dragonscale Helmet for a Helm of Clear Thought
Gauntlets of Ogre Power often replace Gloves of Dexterity
May forego the shield for a two-handed weapon (ideally Great Club of Bashing)

Bard:
Possibly swap out the Mithril Cap for a Cap of the Owl or Hat of Escape, depending on the circumstance.

Cleric:
Maybe Dragonscale Armor or Armor of Absorption for +1 Plate
Rarely Helm of Clear Thought for Dragonscale Helm (but Cleric already has really good Will saves)

Druid:
(None)

Fighter:
Maybe Dragonscale Armor or Armor of Absorption for +1 Plate
Maybe Dragonscale Shield for +1 Tower Shield
Maybe Helm of Clear Thought for Dragonscale Helm
Gauntlets of Ogre Power often replace Gloves of Dexterity
May forego the shield for a two-handed weapon. But if truly decked out, just use the Dread Sword.

Monk:
Bracers of Dragonfist/Withering Palm instead of Celestial/+2 Bracers

Paladin:
Maybe Dragonscale Armor or Armor of Absorption for +1 Plate
Maybe Dragonscale Shield for +1 Tower Shield
Maybe Helm of Clear Thought for Dragonscale Helm
Gauntlets of Ogre Power often replace Gloves of Dexterity
May forego the shield for a two-handed weapon (ideally Holy Great Sword)

Ranger:
Rarely Troll Hide Armor for Mithral Chain, if worried about Fortitude saves
Spiked Buckler often foregone for two Purp weapons (Nightshade's Short Sword, Mithral Long Sword, or Keen Axe for your off hand)
Gauntlets of Ogre Power often replace Gloves of Dexterity

Wizard:
May use Bracelets of the Zephyr instead of AC Bracers.

Some common trends:

- As Arcbat noted, it's often worthwhile to give up one or two points of AC to complete the Dragonscale set, since it effectively makes you immune to fire (just about). For the Cleric/Fighter/Paladin, I'd choose the Dragonscale set any day of the weak.

- A few classes, like Barbarian/Fighter/Paladin may find it worthwhile to forego the Dragonscale Helm for the Helm of Clear Thought, to avoid Charms and the like.

- I agree with Arcbat on Amulets. Horn of Plenty and Amulet of Wonder pretty much always win the day. Otherwise, Medallion of Greyhawk tends to win out slightly over the Torc.

- Rings: Depending on the situation, either go with the +4 save rings, or the resistance rings. If fighting a Beholder, then the Ring of Protection + a Save ring is useful. Fortitude is the least useful (since there are plenty of Anti-toxins). Reflexes help against Fireball/Lightning Bolt, but I'd rather just go with the Resistance rings. I think Iron Will is the best Save ring, especially for the Fighter-types. My preferred build is Dragonscale Armor, plus the Resistance rings (Fire/Frost/Shock) along with the Boots of Warmth. Makes you fairly immune to elemental damage (but watch out for 10 or 12-point Magic Missiles!) Ring of Fire Elemental Command is also useful, but tends to be overkill (when there's already the Ring of Fire Resistance).

- Another interesting build is the "punish monsters for attacking you." Occasionally, I do see people go with: Amulet of Thorns + Cloak of Curses + Ring of Fire Elemental Command. But most Purpled out players rarely do it. Mostly common for Fighter-types who have mainly Reds. But it's a good strategy if you plan on shielding your weaker characters.

Makes you fairly immune to elemental damage (but watch out for 10 or 12-point Magic Missiles!)

The Violet Prizm and Faceted Amber Ioun Stones will work against Magic Missiles. Since there are only 4 Ioun Stones and 5 slots, you should always go with all 4 if you have them, with backup Violet Prizms, since they are consumable.

Ring of Fire Elemental Command is also useful, but tends to be overkill (when there's already the Ring of Fire Resistance).

In most cases, overkill. I used both the Ring of Fire Resistance and the Ring of Fire Elemental Command when fighting the Efreet. Since I was playing the Barbarian, I couldn't use the Dragonscale Set, so it helped to make up for that. The Ring of Fire Elemental Command was great for soaking up the fire damage that you normally took for using melee on the Efreet.
If you really want to do some calculations, do each class's max ac as base, only UC, only R, and then everything.

That will give people a better idea of how the classes skew across different levels of token acquisition. Take the monk for instance. The idea has always been he starts off with a high base but levels off very quickly. Not a bad character if you have almost no tokens but a pretty crappy one if you're sporting URs.

NOW this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.
