TOPIC: The Complaint Department

The Complaint Department 19 years 7 months ago #1

(This idea came from talking with Raven and a few other TD workers)

We know sometimes things didn't go well as we intended, let us know what went wrong so we can improve on those areas

Don't let your bad experience sit with you until the next con, let us know about it !

Thanks

Hand:

There is already a good discussion about issues going in in this thread (http://truedungeon.com/trueforum/viewtopic.php?t=56) , let's keep that one going for True Dungeon issues.

If anyone has general comments/complaints on True Adventures events overall, feel free to post them in this thread.

If issues are specific to True Dungeon, please post them in the True Dungeon forum .

If issues are specific to True Heroes, please post them in the True Heroes forum .

By sorting comments and complaints into the proper sub forums it makes it much easier for the True Adventures volunteers and staff to find pertinent issues that we need to deal with for particular events.

Thank you.

No problem... Just wanted to try to keep things semi-organized.

You did a great job at Gen Con by the way!

I still think it would be a good idea to only sell half (or 2/3 or whatever) of the slots as pre-reg and reserve the other half for on-site so that people who hear about the event at the con have a chance of getting into it too.

The problem with waiting to fill some slots at the con is that we are then at the mercy of the infamous Gencon ticketing system. The last two years at Indy the system has crashed Wed night/Thur morning which has made it difficult for players to register for events. This hit us hard this year for True Heroes as we had slots to fill and players who wanted to play, but they couldn't get registered for the events or even buy generic tickets. Basically because of the limited nature of the events no matter how we choose to sell the tickets we are going to have more players who want to play than there are spaces available. Pre-reg worked much better for us this year than the day of sign ups we did last year, and I think it worked better for most players also.

Lee,
I agree it was better to have pre-reg. I managed the time slots the first TD indy last year and filling parties was a nightmare. However, I will say it was really disappointing to have to tell people who stopped by or stopped my at RPG's and the dealer room expressing interest, that the event was sold out  .

Maybe some slots held in reserve that do not go on sale until the con? Just a thought.

Perhaps could you make the waiting list a little more formal.

I didn't have a pre-reg ticket but I was able to get in twice by waiting in line. Once someone showed up with extra tickets to sell and once a group of 6 failed to show up. Both times the person at the desk was keeping a list but didn't seem prepared for the concept of "wait list".

Adding something "Offical" might make life easier for the volunteers. It would give them a defense against pests like me.

My only wish is that we could have survived the last room even if we could not find the scepter in time. 3 people in my group did not get a chance to guess a hole (me included) due to running out of time.
