TOPIC: Forum (X new) links aren't working right any more for me

Forum (X new) links aren't working right any more for me 1 year 9 months ago #1

It used to be that if a forum post said (X new), there were X new messages, and clicking that would take you to the first unread reply on the topic. Now when I click that, it's taking me instead to the very last reply on the topic. This is annoying, since it makes it harder to read only the ones I haven't read yet. Was there a forum upgrade or change that might have caused this?

If there is a new-to-you post in the thread, clicking the thread's icon (e.g.,

Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously

FWIW (likely very little) I feel like I used to have this problem, specifically on my mobile browser (not desktop), but: the time when I recall being frustrated by it was at least several months ago, I haven't been noticing it lately, and as of this morning I can't reproduce it (I just went back and found a thread with 10 new, and clicking on it in my mobile browser did the right thing).

And today it's back to normal for me. Maybe I was doing something wrong for the last two days, but all's well that ends well.

Or maybe I snuck into your home last night and waved a chicken foot over all your electronic devices...🤷‍♂️
