thanks alot for the replies....and the advise.....I appreciate it....
So, I have gotten suggestions from my boyfriend on what I should be but I wanted more advise on the class that you all might think that I should try out. Remember I have little to no experience in this.....
And I know that you can be healed but do you actually get "killed off"...
does that mean that I have to leave or what.....
These may be silly questions but I guess you can tell that I am nervous about this>>?!?
No need to be nervous. The Cleric, Magic User, and Bard all have some sort of memorization/symbol word association ability required. Again you do not need to know D&D to play.
The Rogue and to some extent the Ranger need some manual dexterity (hand / eye coordination). The fighter and Paladin are probably the easiest to play but most often in danger.
All of these can be played easily by someone with no knowledge what so ever of Role Playing Games.
Keep in mind this "adventure" is fairly realistic in that you walk through, interact with, and are immersed in "the dungeon." In traditional Role Playing Games (RPG) it is paper, pencil, and dice. Here the activity is a bit more physical. When we talk about combat we are not talking about whacking each other with foam swords however, it is not that physical. You do not even have to "role play" but it is encouraged and does make the experience more fun. We do not require it, because we do not want to exclude those who may be turned off by the pressure of Live Action Role Playing (LARP).
Your character takes "physical" damage much as it would in a paper based RPG. Your character can be healed, and yes, can die. If you do perish in the dungeon, our contracted demon force will escort you to a comfortable waiting area where you can chat with other unlucky players as you await the rest of your party.
The only harsh rule we have is no pass outs for the bathroom. Our dungeon designers did not see fit to include porta-potties so if you have to go during the two hour event, you have to leave and can not re-join your party (you could sit it out as if you had been slain).
You will do fine, I am sure you will also have a good time.
Dave
You should know better than to pick up a duck in a dungeon....
