Hey, everyone - I won't be able to post as much as I'd like the next couple weeks, b/c I am in Thailand! I can't believe it! We made this special trip b/c my wife just turned 40 (gotta love older women!), I turn 40 in January (well, not that much older!), and we just celebrated our 15th anniversary.

The flight here was endless, and included a 3-hour delay in Tokyo, but we made it (this will make the flight to Indy next year seem like nuthin'!). The people here are very nice, the food has been great, and the weather not so bad. We are in Bangkok until tmr, then to Chiang Mai, then to the beaches of Ko Samui.

I'll post pictures once I buy a new camera-to-computer cord - the one thing I forgot to pack!

Brian

ps - Gary, Joyus - what happened to your avatars? I hardly recognized you!

As for bros, I have no idea. I'm not even sure what it is!

As for mine, that is picture is of my grandma from my grandparents wedding photo. What a looker, aye. *smiles*
She died about a month ago and today would have been/IS my grandparents 60th anniversary. Just my way of remembering grandma today. *flits off before anyone can see me get misty eyed*

Traveling abroad would be a lot more fun if it weren't for all the darn foreigners speaking gibberish.

Joyus - great way to honor your grandma.

Lots of people speaking "gibberish," but lots also speak English enough to be really helpful. We are having fun and eating too much - today we may go buy tailor-made silk suits!

Brian
After a few days in Bangkok, we are now in Chiang Mai, relaxing a bit more. We are eating ourselves sick on great Thai food. Next week (day after Xmas) we head for a beach resort, then back to Bangkok for New Year's Eve. This is quite the adventure! (especially crossing traffic - I'm trying to think of how we could set up a TD room to simulate the dangers of Thai traffic - would be alot like Frogger!).

Brian
Almost my whole family has been to Thailand except me. My sister spent the spring semester there this year, as part of a study abroad program. And my step-brother (who's a flight attendant) has lived there off-and-on for several years. I wish I had thought to ask them for places to tell you to go when you first posted, but I was a little distracted. ;/

Har har, I remember those meeting stones in game. They hardly worked back then. People preferred grouping in regular groups.

Yep it was the most lonely meeting stone I ever saw...

Maybe it should change its name to the Blarney Stone, then lots of people would go there. =D
