TOPIC: Will Wheaton talks about slaying a dragon in TD

Will Wheaton talks about slaying a dragon in TD 3 months 3 days ago #1

As part of Deborah Ann Woll's interviews with the cast from Tales from Woodcreek, she interviews Will Wheaton.

At ~13:15 Will starts to talk about how cool TD can be.

I thought it was pretty fun and worth sharing. I also I highly recommend the Tales From Woodcreek show on Youtube, it was very well done.

Awesome! It's always so fun to see someone tell tale of their adventure with excitement and wonder! I really love that even after all this time it's clearly a meaningful experience for him. It was pretty crazy!!

Thanks for sharing!

I love this stuff. People talking about things they're passionate about is awesome, and it's even better when I also like the thing.

Hearing someone say, "I killed the dragon", not "my character killed the dragon", is frankly really cool. I love how games like TD capature that feeling.

When I started playing D&D, second edition was still quite new, I played second edition the longest and 5th edition the second longest. I enjoyed second edition the most, even though it had its issues l, because of my favorite setting which was Planescape

I played both 1st Edition and 2nd Edition. Loved old school 1st but 2nd was great too.

Started with 1st, then AD&D. Went on a college hiatus and started True Dungeon in 2008. I decided I wanted to play D&D again, and my buddy got me in his 4E campaign. When that fizzled they started the playtests for 5E and I really didn't like it. I looked back to my old 1E books and then found Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics.
So thats my system be it DCC or MCC.

Oh and FYI, I was the player coach for Wil's run. Back in the eight player days I think.
