It is possible for two sets of people to discuss a topic and reach different conclusions. Disagreeing with the other group's conclusion does not automatically mean the topic was not thought out or not discussed. To assert the other group did not think about the topic might be interpreted as being naive. To make ad hominem attacks on the other group simply because they reached a different conclusion might even suggest that one is breaking Wheaton's Law.
