I've done NSDMG crisis/short play events, is this kinda similar to public/hidden roles with moderators to say actions fail/pass?
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

Yes, this is similar to NSDMG, but with a little more structure. For routine actions, such as combat and resource production, there are defined rules. If you are doing something unusual and outside the rulebook, then control will get involved like in NSDMG.
