TOPIC: Anyone going to Pax Unplugged in Philly?

Curious if any of the forumites around here going out to Pax Unplugged this week? I'll be out there for work and was planning on hanging out in dealer hall a bit. Can a local give any advice for decent beer/food near the convention center?

I considered going but went to Origins instead this year because it had TD

I've never done a pax before. Wasn't planning on going till I got cajoled bribed 'volunteered' to work for a exhibitor doing demos. Hence my relative lack of planning/reconnaissance to this point.

Exhibitors look really good not just including my overlord fine purveyor of euro style games.

I'll be there Sunday. I've never done a PAX before. I've done pretty much every Con imaginable, but not PAX... until this year.

The Farmer's Market is the best place to eat. It is right across the street from the Con Center. Best food and prices you can get in any area.

Looking forward to the market, i adore Columbus and Cleveland's market and this is in the similar vain it will be delicious.

Only potential issue I've heard with the market is the relative early hours for those of us in search of dinner. There a decent beer shop withing walking distance of convention center or am i better bringing my own? I'm working exhibitor hall all 3 days so i need liquid sustenance for hotel room.

I can't help you on the beer front. We always just brought our own for the various Cons we've been to in Philly.

I’ll be there Friday and Saturday. Reading Terminal Market is the place to be for food no doubt.

I will likely be there Saturday and Sunday. Still trying to figure out Friday- depends on the Travel schedule for work.
