I just posted something embarrasing that happened to me on the Gen Con forum. Rather than repeat it here, where I don't think I can include the pics, here is a link to the thread. http://forums.gencon.com/default.aspx?f=32&m=137072

OOPS! Well, the good point is that nobody was hurt. That's always a good thing.

One time I was going shopping the day after Thanksgiving, so I was leaving REALLY early. I started backing my van out of the driveway, and kept hearing this crunching sound. Couldn't figure out what the heck that was, so kept giving it a little gas....finally, I looked out the passenger side and noticed that the crunching sound was the contact between my rear bumper and the rear driver's side of Jeff's truck. OOPS! It's really not my fault though, 'cause I'm not a morning person and he shouldn't have parked in my way in the first place!!!

He was really funny about it....I went back in the house, figuring I was gonna get an earfull (you know...a guy and his truck and all).....I went in and said "Honey, I just hit your truck".....he said "Are you hurt?".....I said "Um, no" (waiting for it.....) and he said "OK, that's good...have fun shopping". I was like "HUH? You're not mad?" It was pretty funny....I thought I was gonna be in deep you-know-what and he wasn't even mildly irritated.

Now, every time I look at those scratches it just makes me laugh (and be thankful for a good husband!).

I got a similar reaction from Kevin. Something along the lines of it didn't surprise him, it was me it happened to after all.

I wasn't sure whether to be offended or not. *perplexed*

I wasn't hurt running after the truck, but I'm really lucky there wasn't any traffic. My mom gave me an earful about what could have happened if I had fallen and been run over by my own truck. *sheepish grin*

the poor Dodge.
Its funny how something that takes multiple days to set up comes down in a few hours...

Don't worry, the Dodge will be fine. The funny thing is, the damage is to the exact same part of the truck as when I was in an accident a few years ago. They are pretty much replacing the same things as last time.

Oh, and thanks, Henwy. That really made me feel better. [not] :P

And I've posted another pic to the thread, this time of my wedding dress. Long story, involving another thread, but feel free to check it out. Except you Henwy. You'll have waaayyyyy to much fun harassing me if you see it.

OMG the pink. *shudders* but if you like pink, then it is good for you.

Hehe, I did something similar with my dad's truck when I was 16. I was cutting school (I had a very good reason to cut school, was coming home to see the folks who were getting home from vacation before I left for a 5 night 6 day debate trip, and to pick up my paycheck). The school was not amused when it hit the little local newspaper.

Glad you arent hurt, that is the main thing. Now we can all giggle about it.

Alas, I don't drive so I have no 'funny' stories to share. :(
Unless of course you count driving my brothers crazy. :P

Glad your neighbor was understanding about the matter.
Okay, whats with the whole pink dress thing? Why did that poster keep mentioning it so you would post it?
I get what it is, just wondering why its posted.

In a different thread, we were talking about still playing "Pretend", like when we were kids. Somehow we got on the subject of how I married Kevin in part because my grumpy cat liked him. Someone mentioned that the story of how we met and ended up together sounded like a fairy tale. I told them the real fairy tale was about finding my dream, fairy princess, wedding dress, in my $300 budget. Then they wanted to see it.

It's kind of one of those "you had to be there" things to get it. ;)
