TOPIC: Meet at the Inn

Re: Meet at the Inn 10 years 8 months ago #961

Delmar tries to alter his attacks in mid swing as he sees the Banshee vanish into the 'maze'.

OOC: I'll leave it to Picc as to what happens :-)

(All hits against the banshee from the last page can be assumed to have gone through prior to her banishment which will take her out of combat this round and only leave you the endless horde to deal with).

With that the banshees scream is cut short as she is pulled down vanishing into a curl of mist and vanishes.

As you turn your attention form the momentarily disposed banshee back to the horde you see that the volume of undead has only increased and despite your efforts to cut them down you are all being pushed back towards the gated stairs (Each of you are subject to the following attacks roll 18,1,16,4 dmg 3,4,1,3). In the distance you hear a crack of stone and an almost familiar hollow roar as the sound of bones and crack of great leathery wings sends your minds back to icecrag keep with the realization of what is coming even before you catch sight of the monstrous creature crashing through the tombs towards you with frightening speed.

1d20 = 16

As he backs up towards his friends while being pressed by the undead Delmar punches anything close by with his oil covered hands.

Delmar shouts out, "I guess I'm pretty hard to kill when the curse takes me."

fist one 1d20 = 6+7 to hit 1+9 damage

fist two 1d20 = 17+7 to hit 2+9 damage

Barkley mutters a prayer to Pelor. "To peace or damnation, we pray You sort them out," as he unleashes the righteous fury of the raven.

Cram takes the momentary distraction of the raven activation to get back by the rest of his team.

Reeling from the attacks from the horde, I try to position myself behind the swords and shields of my allies.

"Adeya, are you okay? Do you need a healing potion?"

Waiting for Adeya's response, Breon watches to see what effect the Raven has on our attackers. His mind begins to consider another spell if it is necessary.

As the undead horde closes in you unleash the power of the icon. There is a flash of light and a soundness thud you all feel deep in your chests as a wave of radiant explodes from Barkleys's hands and fills the crypts burning away the lesser undead in holy fire and shattering the Dracolich with the force of its passing. A moment later as your vision begins to return you feel refreshed (all of you may heal 10hp for the icons activation).

The words of the spell turn to ash in your mouth, some dark power is protecting the curse. You feel as though they could be undone but greater magics will be required though you have little time to contemplate this development as moments later the effects of the maze end and the very air in front of you begins to coalesce back towards the form of the banshee. Whose hateful gaze falls on you as she again prepares to wail.

(She is still hurt from before, if anyone can beat a 10 for initiative they can attack before her action and try to finish her off)

Initiative roll

1d20 = 12

fist one 1d20 = 7+7 to hit, 1+9 damage

fist two 1d20 = 16+7 to hit, 1+9 damage

Delmar punches the Banshee with his oil covered hands, "Back to hell with you foul beast!"

Barkley juggles the raven and his Sceptre of Might. "Pelor preserve me, how do the jesters do it?" (initiative roll = 4)
