Kryndal takes a swig from his silver flask (Potion/Dwarven Doppelbock) and, standing at Delmar's side with swords in hand, says "Bring out yer dead..."

Skeletons and zombies at this point, though you are sure more fearsome undead lay beyond.

(OOC I'm going to attack everyone who said they were forming ranks 3-4 times per round or until there are no more undead left, then give you some time to react. More powerful undead will arrive each round to assist. If you hold the line for three rounds the icon of ravenloft will destroy the remainder of Strahds forces in the crypts.)

As the first of the undead horrors crash against your ranks a skeleton slashes at Kryndal with its icy talons (roll 10 dmg 2). A second leaps towards him raking at his face (roll 6 dmg2) and a third stabs with a rusty blade as he moves to avoid the blow (roll 7 dmg3).

A bolt from a skeletal nobels bow flies towards Delmar (roll 15 dmg4) as a rotting zombie throws itself bodily after struggling to pull him from his feet (roll 1) but is easily kicked aside only to be replacer by two more (roll 10 dmg2, roll 14 dmg1)

Widseth's dancing sword strikes down one of the advancing horrors but is not quick enough to protect its master from every direction as two more zombies lurch towards the bard stumbling desperately over their fallen ally (roll 3 dmg 1, roll 17 dmg 6).

Rotting hands shoot up from the patches of dusty earth and Lashat Lexans ankles (roll 12 dmg 2, roll 19 dmg 1, roll 3 dmg 3).

For the moment Barkley and the wizards seem to be protected and Cram is holding his own against four rotted soldiers but in the distance you can see more undead stirring in the darkness and those of you versed in such thing hear what you believe to be the beginnings of the mournful song of a banshee rising up in the distance.

(Just want to be clear to make sure I understand. Is this the end of the first round? Are we to roll to hit or will you do that for us for the three rounds? When we entered the crypts, I took barkskin, cat's grace, and bull strength. I will fight with my Mithral sword in hand (+9 to hit and +10 damage +10 deadbane)(AC one room 32).

(I look back at Delmar to access his health. I will my dancing sword to parry and defend him. The lute rises to compete with the banshee wail.)

1d20 = 6

Delmar staggers back from what would be a light blow. He stops all efforts to fight then cries out as he starts to rip his equipment from his body. His body seems to writhe and twist as he screams out "THE SWORD, YOU MUST FIND THE SUN..." The rest of his words degenerate in an anguished howl. With his last remaining vestige of humanity he lunges through the line at the oncoming hoard hoping to damage a few before his will is not his own.

YES, this constitutes the end of the first round, You may roll to hit or take other actions as you choose.

By invoking Pelors direct intervention to free Ismark of Strahds curse Delmar came to the notice of the dark powers that control ravenloft and since no good dead can be allowed to go unpunished within their boarders they have cursed him in reprisal (a fact yet unknown to Strahd). While in lycanthrope form Delmar will function as a greater werewolf, and unless placed under Strahds control will attack either at random or in defense of his person. Once he has drawn blood and each round there after he may attempt a DC 20 will save to return to normal (his normal save bonuses apply as does a +2 bonus for each prior failed attempt).

The dancing sword slashes at Delmar (to hit 18 -- damage 7) Then I slash at him with my mithral sword (to hit 14 +9 -- damage 7 +10)

"Bring Delmar down at all costs," I yell.

Edit after receiving instructions.

Delmar seems torn between slashing at his old party mates and the undead hoards that just hit him. With great effort he turns away from the party members attacking him and slashes out at the undead that have hit him.

Hit rolls for claws

1d20 = 18

1d20 = 5

Bite

1d20 = 20

Damage rolls

1d6 = 4+1

1d6 = 3+1

1d6 = 5+1

Delmar seems to stagger and falter like he will soon expire but a few of his wounds close over and he rallies for the next round.

OOC - I'm back!

Breon casts Magic Missile at Delmar (11 points), then uses his Cabal set power to cast it again, this time targeting the banshee.

"Oh, Delmar!" I gasp at the sight of his transformation. However despite the danger he poses I cannot bring myself to attack him, so I focus on the undead horde instead.

Using my Bracelets of the Zephyr I cast Acid Splash on the two closest skeletons doing 6 points acid damage to one of them and 3 acid to the other.

(If Delmar is still within 30 feet. The dancing sword will again attack him next round. Otherwise it will return to me.)
